Located in Guadalajara’s Lafayette neighborhood at Miguel Lerdo de Tejada 2418, Bruna is both a restaurant and gallery founded around 2016 by Luis Hernández and chef Óscar Garza. It offers a contemporary Mexican-fusion menu inspired by street food, family recipes, and modern techniques, served amid lush sculptural gardens, unique art installations, and sophisticated interior design.
Signature dishes include the “10-mole sampler,” slow-roasted short rib with jus, blue-corn tamal with mole poblano and confit duck, Kurobuta pork with smoky barbecue sauce, and a six-texture chocolate dessert as a homage to cacao. The house also features a Mixology Lab with inventive cocktails like the mezcal-infused “Mazamitla” and the floral “Bugambilia.”
Reviews praise Bruna as an experience that stimulates all senses—palate, sight, and sound—with exceptional ambience and service. One guest described it as “part restaurant, part museum, part art gallery.”
